September is Subluxation Awareness Month - GA Governor Signs Proclamation The Georgia Council of Chiropractic, along with the Florida Chiropractic Society and the International Chiropractors Association have declared September to be Subluxation Awareness Month. This event will kick off a year-round grass roots campaign to educate the public about the health effects of subluxations, and the benefits of living a life free of nerve system interference. Georgia Governor Nathan Deal has signed a proclamation prepared by the GCC declaring September as Subluxation Awareness Month. The proclamation is available for download to anyone who wishes to post this in their office or on their website. To obtain a copy of the proclamation please click on the thumbnail to the right or visit the website www.subluxationawareness.org. The GCC invites other chiropractic state organizations to submit this proclamation to their respective Governors for signature. Subluxation Awareness is a grass-roots campaign that doctors can participate with. Doctors will be able to join Subluxation Awareness and receive materials and information that will allow them to put on educational events, screenings, and other local programs that bring the issue of subluxations to their communities, and firmly place that doctor as an authority in this area. Currently Subluxation Awareness is on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/subluxation. Please look us up on Facebook and give us a "Like". If a Picture is Only Worth a Thousand Words... If a picture is worth a thousand words, we figure a video is worth quite a lot more. Some times there is just too much to write about when it comes to features included with the NYK services. For this reason we have created a video and put it up on YouTube for all to see. Please click on the image below to open the page with the 2 minute video. If you are like me, you do not have the time to read a technical novel, so sit back, click, and enjoy. Now You Know is a company "For Chiropractors, By Chiropractors". With NYK, this is not just a slogan. It is a mission! We are not a technology company, trying to adapt our services to sell to chiropractors. We are a chiropractic company that creates technology to help spread the chiropractic message. There is a difference when you are a chiropractic company, and you take the mission of chiropractic seriously. First, the services, and educational material created are designed for actual in-office use. All the services are developed and tested in my chiropractic office. This real-life office situation usage has allowed us to develop many features that were firsts in chiropractic Internet education. Philosophy on the Farm coming up September 17th
Once a year in Georgia, chiropractic philosophy is combined with an appreciation for the outdoors and the love of animals. This year's event is co sponsored by the Georgia Council of Chiropractic, and is one month later than previous years which should make the evening weather more pleasant. Featured speakers for this event include Dr. Pete Sulack and Dr. Awais Butt. Dr. Pete, as he is known, has one of the largest practices in the southeast. He initially grew his practice to over 1000 visits per week in just 11 months into practice. Located in Tennessee, Dr. Pete currently sees over 2000 patients per week, with patients coming from as far away as Georgia, Kentucky, Florida, Texas, the Carolinas and Virginias. He has also started the non-profit ministry "Mathew 10" preaching the gospel to over 2.5 million people world wide. Dr. Awais runs a large high volume practice right here in Douglasville Georgia seeing over 700 patient visits per week. He is a Board member of the Georgia Council of Chiropractic, a regular platform speaker for DE, a Georgia Band of Brothers leader, and a member and student liaison for the International Chiropractors Association. He is also an instructor for the GCC "Nuts and Bolts" programs that teaches doctors the hands-on aspects of building a high-volume subluxation based practice. Remember, this is an outdoor event. This means you need to bring your own folding chairs, tables and bug spray. For a complete list of what you should bring, and how you should be prepared please visit the website created for this event at www.philosophyonthefarm.com. How Philosophy on the Farm got started; by Dr. Bob Braile - Years ago in Florida we started a yearly philosophy event called Philosophy on the Beach. These events were held on our ocean front property and included such notable legends in chiropractic who are no longer with us such as, Dr Fred Barge, Dr Galen Price, Dr Verne Pierce, Dr Ian Grassam and many more. Hundreds of DC's and students would show up to these beach side events for a day of fellowship and fun. When our family relocated to Georgia, we has decided to bring this same spirit to our farm. Thus was born Philosophy on the Farm. The Good, the Bad, and the Subluxated! - AKA - Chiropractic in the News
